Saint Vincent (2014)

A little boy named Oliver is subjected to far from the most pleasant trials from an early age. His parents are getting divorced and now he needs to move to another city to settle in a new house with his mother. She's all about moving and settling into a new place, so she can't devote enough time to the boy. When she leaves on business, she decides to leave Oliver to the neighbor's handsome grandfather, without even knowing what kind of person he is and what he does.<br />
Vincent's neighbor, although he looks harmless, turns out to be a grumpy drunk who can't stand everyone around him, and those around him genuinely have a mutual feeling. Despite his age, he lives quite happily, as he constantly drinks, plays gambling cards and uses the services of prostitutes. Of course, Oliver's mom didn't know about such interesting nuances of her neighbor's life, so she asks for a nominal amount to look after the child during her absence.<br />
Further events significantly change the lives of both characters. Oliver, who has not yet made friends in a new city, receives advice from a rather strange mentor who gives him extraordinary life advice. Vincent gets himself a listener with whom he can somehow talk. They discover a lot of new things that might shock others.<br />
